Ehm Architecture Design Studio - San Diego, California

Designed initially as an architectural studio, this 562 square foot structure can be easily converted into an Accessory Dwelling Unit. The building features a bathroom, conference room kitchenette and a roof deck with outdoor kitchen. The project showcases the products of sponsoring suppliers, including Sierra Pacific Windows, Kalwall, EliteCrete, Dixieline Lumber, Azek Decking, Jakob Shelving, Premier Roofing, Challenger Sheet Metal, SignDiego, NatureKast Cabinets and Atlantis Rail Systems.

Gimber ADU - San Diego, California

This 790 square foot two-story ADU with roof deck and one-car garage is being built in the Mission Hills neighborhood of San Diego. The second-floor bedroom will have views of San Diego Bay, Point Loma and Coronado Island.

Sheiner ADU and Attic Remodel - San Diego, California

This 650 square foot two-story ADU with sleeping loft and one-car garage is being built in the South Park neighborhood of San Diego. The second-floor great room will have views of Balboa Park. A “storybook” theme inspired the design of the new stair element at the existing house.

Smith Residence - Poway, California

Randal Ehm designed this 8,500 square foot custom home for developer Gene Smith in 2000. The home features suites for Smith’s sons, a second floor master suite, an Accessory Dwelling Unit for their live-in maid, a game room, formal dining room and great room. 

A 650 square foot cabana is oriented toward the spa and swimming pool, with a large existing boulder serving as a diving platform.
